Hey IK OBI, ol pal...what the heck gives with the Custom Shop and Jam Points??
As is no matter what I tried... I couldn't use them to buy new credits for the Custom Shop. I did some "interweb" sleuthing and thought I was doing it correctly...but no love. Whatsoever. And it looked like even if I could've...which I couldn't...redeem them it would be for half value. Am I gonna have to call "shennanigans"???

Hi Ol Pal, I'm no Obi, but... The way I understand it (and I get what you're asking correctly) you can only pay up to 50% of whatever it is you are buying using jam points. In other words, the biggest discount you can get is 50% - but you always have to pay the rest. I fool myself into believing that I'm actually raising funds to buy CSR every time I buy stuff from the Custom Shop. Instead of using my Jam Points, I use the promo code for a 15% off, and the jam points are piling up. :)

So if I have 40 Jam Points I could put that to $80 in credits and pay the other $40 with my credit card?? Is that it?

Hope you don't mind me piggy-backing on this ol' pal, but the custom shop also baffles me a bit. For those of us who don't have their DAW's online, is there an off-line way of buying from the custom shop? I'm dying for the Trace Elliot stuff, but am not sure how to give you my money!

yorolpal So if I have 40 Jam Points I could put that to $80 in credits and pay the other $40 with my credit card?? Is that it? Correct. Although you don't have to use all the Jam Points at one time, you could buy $40 of CS Credits and apply 20 Jam Points & $20 cash. You just can't use more than 50% of the cost of whatever you're buying with Jam Points and you can't use them in combination with another discount code. Dan

At this time no, you can't. You can temporarily connect, buy, and authorize your puchase, after that you can disable the connection. Dan

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you but looks like everyone here covered it well. Oh and offline authorization & lower ram usage is what we're working on right now ;)

However, I don't have the Black 76 or White 2A compressors which I can get at least 1 for $50 out of my pocket. Anyone use these regularly? (I love the 670 and that's been my go to, but not sure if I need the Black or White also?)

(I love the 670 and that's been my go to, but not sure if I need the Black or White also?) I'm pretty much in the same situation, in that, I bought almost everything I needed in July, w/ the exception of the CSR (which I'm still hoping they'll start selling as singles sometimes in the future.) ;) My 2 cents - the 670, Pultec, White 2A and Black 76 are absolutely worth it. If you can get either for $50, I say jump on it. I originally thought I'd like the Black 76 better, but I ended up buying the White 2A first after trying both demos. Tough choice, but I had to pick one up. However, I managed to set another $85 aside for the Black 76 a few days later, as I really wanted it too. IK will let you run the demo w/o limitations for 10 days. You might want to try them. Me, I ended up buying the 2A only minutes after first trying it. Love it.

Thanks Rain.. I'll probably test them out today (and also demo the utonic drum synth....I've been eyeing that for some time...). I feel like I'm almost compelled to buy the Black & White (or some Amps for Amplitube 3) when looking at my jam points just sitting there...lol

Well, take a look (and listen) to the Orange Rockerverb 50 in the Custom Shop when you're looking at amps. Killer Diller!

While I don't have any of the phone stuff (tho I did buy the Amp3 app for my friend) myself. Like you Mudgel, ol pal, I've got just about everything else IK makes. These sales always give me a giggle as, like you, I CAN"T BUY ANYTHING!! :-)

Good thing. I was afraid I'd run out of things to buy. :p Shame on me for passing the shell offer in June though, I could have done with the metering plug-in. But I'll resist the temptation of buying it for now. That leaves the CSR, otherwise I think I pretty much have what I needed.

Ahh CSR is my go to verb! CSR and ReaVerb with a few impulses and I've been set on verbs! Actually I lied. I've used the Fender verbs from AmpliTube 3 on vocals a few times.
