On the topic of new instruments, it seems my MPK49 (Akai Professional Keyboard) is dying. The pots are so jittery that VST instruments just wig out when it is plugged in. Sadly I do not have the funds to replace it, so I am using the MIDI capabilities of my Korg Piano for the first time. All I can say is it ever weird using synths on an 88key full size keyboard. I do not know if it is I got used to the edges with reference to synthesizer sounds, but I find myself lost on it. Yet unplug the midi and turn it back into a piano and I am fine...

James, I already have several amps and a couple of Les Paul cases. I ordered the faded Cherry, just like the one in the video. Foxy, I was just playing my Motif XF-8 through my new Mackie MR-5's that I bought today. It's also a full 88 keys and fun to play synths and everything else on for that matter. The Mackies sound great BTW.

But you never know maybe my next song will have alittle bit of guitar in it if I can learn about four or five basic chords to strum , forget the lead I might have to call you up to see how your making out on your new guitar . Keep on rockin ! James

THE NIGHT FOX Scottytunes Post a pic when you can. Sounds good , Getting ready to open the box after just watching my favorite three hours of TV shows I like to watch on thrusdays nights . This is my new guitar that arrived today , shes one great looking guitar ! http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ET39NANH I have to wait untill tommorrow to plug it into GUITAR RIG in my computer . I thought this guitar included a cheap amp chord but it doesn't so I have to go out and buy the AMP chord for it . I need to call SweetWater tommorrow because theres no install disk for GUITAR RIG and in the booklet its telling me theres an install disk unless they changed that process where now you have to download guitar rig in order to install it after I register my guitar first . Anyway my guitar arrived in perfect shape , not a single scratch on the all Maple body . I have to say SweetWater is the best music company online to buy from , everything is packed and arrives in perfect shape . They even send you candy along with your new purchase ,COOl my wife loves the candy treats and I get the guitar ! LOL My case didn't arrive with my guitar & amp and that sort sucks . They didn't have my case in stock when I ordered my guitar & amp , I went ahead and paid for it anyway. They are suppose to be getting them in at the end of this month , for now I will have to keep it in the box they shipped it in to keep my five cats from messing with it while I'm sleeping NOT GOOD ! I'm sure your going to love playing your new guitar when you get yours next week . You'll have to post a song with you playing some lead on your new guitar , I like to hear what yours sounds like knowing its a solid body . The guy playing your on the demo isn't a great guitar player like you are , I'm sure it will really sound great with you playing it .

Nice! Can't wait to see it. Mine comes with Guitar Rig software too. Better lock it in a closet until you get the case. I used to buy for Sweetwater, then my rep left and went to GC Pro. I buy from him there now and he saves me a ton of cash over what he could do at Sweetwater. I've ordered from several online companies and they are all equally as good. AMS Has the fastest shipping, but GC Pro gives me the best personal touch service and the absolute best pricing. Enjoy!

Hi Scotty , I called SweetWater first thing early today and ask him about the Guitar Rig 4 LE software thats included . The booklet is telling me theres a disk but when I called SweetWater hes telling me I have to download off the Guitar Rig website . I also told him in the blooklet they are saying I need to register using my serial numbers printed on the install disk . Hes suppose to send me an e-mail with links on how to get setup online with Guitar Rig . I also ask him what is included with my new guitar , our local music store told me it included two chords one for the MIDI and another cheap AMP chord for AMP hookup . Told him there was no AMP chord in my box plus I didn't see that trustrod wrench he mentioned either so they are suppose to be mailing out those two items to me ASP he said . Yea it nice dealing with someone you know in the company that can give you good deals . I been dealing with this one sales man for years and hes been really nice to me over the years saving me around $100.00 off on this Guitar , AMP and case purchase I made last week with them . Hey when you get your guitar let me know if your box included the GUITAR RIG software install disk , thanks

Maybe yours was a floor model you purchased , how many human hands played that sweet deal . If thats true then the sale rep didn't go home with any extra cash in his pocket , you left him high and dry ! LOL Yea someone forgot to ship me the trustrod and amp chord but atlease their sending it to me so I can't complain about it ,I can play it through Guitar Rig for another week . Next time I order I'll be ordering another electronic drum kit that Rolands kit I want to buy , I'll have to ask him about that $200.00 deal . I plan on buying it around Oct close to the holidays when they start putting stuff on sale or I will wait untill after I have moved to Tennessee this coming Nov and have it shipped to our new address .

Scottytunes No floor models, factory sealed goods only. Let me know when you're ready for your next purchase and I'll hook you up. Sounds good thanks , I just got off the phone with Sweetwater . Been on the phone with them for over an hour , can't get this guitar working with Project 5 but it works fine using my Sonar Home Studio 7 XL and as a stand alone with Guitar Rig 4 LE off my desktop . I registered my guitar and then downloaded Guitar Rig 4 then installed that and activated it and after that I updated that software . Hooked up my guitar and ran Project 5 and nothing worked so I called SweetWater support . He couldn't get it working in Project 5 but did in Sonar Home Studio 7 XL and as a stand alone off my desk top . I thought that USB connection on the back of the guitar was a midi connection , its not its audio . He said I might get it working in project 5 if I run a standard out guitar amp cable from the guitar into the breakout cable from my soundcard audio in but using that USB cable its not going to work with Project 5 and that sucks because I like recording Project 5 . I might end up using Sonar Home Studio 7 XL again to record my music , maybe Blipp would know he uses Project 5 . Yea I would never buy a floor model , that local store in my area wanted to sell me the same guitar off the floor and my answer was NO NO NO FLOOR MODEL only new sealed in the box from the factory .

Nice Scotty ! I been busy as hell trying to get Guitar Rig LE working , after calling SweetWater support I finally have it working but not in Project 5 only in Sonar Home Studio 7 XL . I think I'm going to be buying some other guitar software I don't care much for Guitar Rig 4 LE and it doesn't work with Project 5 . How are you recording your guitar , are you using Guitar Rig or something else ? Right now its not my biggest concern because I'm learning new chords , five chords so far . My fingers are in the bleeding stage OUCH ! LOL I'm also working with scales , not doing too bad at that for a beginner . I work with chords for 30 minutes and scales for another thirty minutes , trying to practice twice a day for a total of two hours a day . Maybe after my finger tips hardin up I'll be able to put in my practice time , that's the plan . Nice guitar I like the color , good luck with it - James
