Hi, all Cakewalk USERS!

I am from Poland, and I paid for liftime updates (199 USD is not a small money in Poland!!!). I wrote an email with a very shy question: what they are going to do with all the USERS who trust them and spent money for lifetime updates... Unfortunately, still no answer from Cakewalk Support...
I would like to ask if anybody turned to tchem with such a question (or similar). I will appreciate your oppinin. THX!

Do not expect a refund. **** happens and they will not keep their lifetime promise. You were NOT screwed though. For the $199 you were given a tremendous value, excellent DAW that will work years from now and third party plugins (AD2, TH3, Blue Tubes. etc) worth much more than $199.

Windows 10/64, Intel i7 Xeon X6575 3,07GHz, 24Gb RAM, chipset: Intel X58 Express, Kingston SSD 240Gb,  Sonar Platinum , Edirol UA-25.  (Some extra VSTs: PSP almost all/  IK - AT4, ST3, / AAS - all/ TH3 full/ +10dB/ Melodyne Editor). EVE sc205 monitors, Defil Kosmos guitar, blue lava lamp, ashtray.  And there is some great music you may find at: https://soundcloud.com/pawel-jan-1

All those features were included before lifetime updates.  When talking about what you get for the lifetime updates, I'd suggest only mentioning things released after that time.  Which depending on when someone bought the Lifetime Updates during the period, might only include major enhancements like Ripple Editing and Adaptive limiter, which I certainly wouldn't have paid $200 for alone as they are locked to Sonar features.

Generally you are right, but he says he paid only $199 so in this case it does not matter what was included before lifetime.

Dear Afrodrum: it seems to you did not pay 200 bucks for lifetime updates - so, please fo not confuse terms. It was "a deal", and I can feel cheated, can't I? Ancient Romes used to say pecunia non olet - it was 200 bucks no more and no less... :-)
