Hidden Goodie - Copy/Paste Envelopes!

This has been a long time coming... and I found it as a tag to a post that Noel made about the alt-click for routing display...

At the very end he mentions in a one liner that we can now copy/paste envelopes... I tried it... It works!

I've yet to really play with it, but I click-drag highlighted the area of the envelope I wanted to copy... Used ctrl-c then went to another track and used ctrl-v....

It worked!

I've done a couple searches for this post about copying envelopes, and looked up and down the forum for it, but for the life of me i can't find it.

Do you mind repeating the commands for copying/pasting envelopes. Are we talking about automation envelopes specifically?

Thanks Keni - that's good news. Prior to my current woes the only time X1 crashed on me was cutting and pasting buss envelopes. I didn't got there again.

Time to give it a whirl again.

Actually, one can copy & paste bus envelopes in v8.5.3 already, but the buses you click on aren't highlighted ("selected"). If you press CTRL-A and select, say, 4 bars, by dragging on the timeline, all your track envelopes are selected as you would expect, but are bus envelopes selected as well in X1? This would be useful when you are moving entire portions of the song around.

I haven't tried it yet but my guess will be yes as there has already been at least one thread about the "Delete Bus" command as it really is a "Delete All Selected" where if you use the ctrl-a to select all, it will select all tracks as well as buses.......
