Hiding notes in staff view.

I use GPO 4 and I change articulations by using a key switch which means I have to play a note out of the range of the instrument to change the articulation of that instrument. The problem is that the note shows up in staff view and if I ever want to print it out I have this note that should not be played. Is there any way to hide a note so it does not display in staff view. I don't expect there is but I thought I would give it a shot. Thanks.

    For printing music, of course nothing beats a dedicated notation program like Sibelius or Finale. They have more features for making great looking print outs beyond what Sonar will ever have. You can hide notes, or anything you want in those programs. In Sonar, many people put their keyswitch data on different tracks. You can either record it that way, or more conveniently, drag and drop those notes on to new MIDI tracks dialed into the same channel. Then of course in the Staff View for printing, you only display the tracks you want. RB

    rob's way is probably the easiest/best.   What I do when I want to print a score is save an alternate version of the project,  delete all the Keyswitches and quantize everything.  Then print.... then go thru and mark articulations and dynamics with a pen.

     But now with Expanded I can export a MusicXLM file to Sibelius!!!

    Yea!!!  No more pen.....

    To echo what was said...  another way of getting the events to another track

    Click the keys in the PRV that represent the keyswitches, then cut paste to a dif track assigned to the same port, midi channel.
    You'll want to make sure it pastes to the correct time.  To do that shift click the ruler to get the time range starting at 1:01:000.
    If you hit rewind, you'll insure the now time is at the start of the project so the resulting paste will keep the events in the right place.
    Then when pasting, do Paste Special (Ctrl+Alt+V) so you can set the track and confirm the destination time.

    Great ideas. Thank you. I will try setting another track for the key switches. Than actually hadn't occurred to me but it makes great sense.
