High Life

Hey guys, been AFK from the forums for a bit and hope to catch up on some of my favorite songwriters happenings and music!

This one is written and recorded over a year ago, I finally did this mix today, although I think the low end could be tighter.  I'm always open for the opinions of fresh ears.  This is a short intro song I wrote for a project.

Sounds interesting and moves along just fine. Almost kind of a ragtime thing. Everything seemed to be right in place to my ears and sounds like an interesting project your working on. Enjoyed.

Now that song is pretty crazy in a good way .

I liked it a lot actually for a lot of reasons ...
the music sounded good and the song captured the mood and intended message of the song .
it sounded like fun and it was very theatrical ...
I haven't had a drink in 30 years and after hearing the song I felt like I had a few in me and my balls were swinging in the breeze with out a care in the world …I think I might need to hit a meeting
that was great  I like the fact that you went for it

Mike . . . for 1 minute and 32 seconds I was transported into a fun bit of theatre, why so short ?
Leaves me wanting to hear more, which is a good place for a song to be.
So this is a "short intro song for a project", hopefully you'll post some more of this, so I can enjoy it longer.

Kenny - lol, thanks brotha.  I have to live vicariously through my songs, I have no time to actually party myself :)

Noynekker - Thanks for the listen, I'm happy it went over well!  This was written for the intro song to a documentary.  I had to end it within the allotted time.

Scotty - Thanks for the listen and I'm glad you enjoyed it!  I hope all is well with you!

Well, that was different and I understand. I just thought the lead vocal went into the background a little too much when the other singers started singing. But perhaps your speakers or system is different than mine.
Interesting piece of music. I thought perhaps it could be just a little more live sounding (not a lot of reverb but a little more perhaps). But again could be a difference in speaker system or steaming over the Internet.
    Fine !

Spacealf - Thanks for the listen and Feedback.  Learning guitar in the 80's, I was never accused of NOT using enough reverb before! interesting lol

I just love this little tune.  Great vocals and energy.  Is your documentary avail anywhere?  No nits.   Loved it.

    Hey Ian -
Thanks for the listen and feedback.  It would appear the production of the film has stalled.  Not sure when it's going to be finished.

That was fun!   It's got a little of that slightly demented circus-y vaudeville vibe going on, and I like it.

Twisted6s - Thanks for the listen and feedback.  You are right about the kick!  I will have to do something about that.

Hi Mike, excellent production, quircky tune , in a good way. Was expecting another Hans Zimmer extravaganza at the beginning, nice twist.

Rik - Thanks for the listen and feedback.  Hanz Zimmer is so 2000's.  I wanted to do something original, like use the same chord progression for 1.35 minutes! :)

Robby - "I'm not sure how you did this? This was good, a fun tune, but so much like all of the other Rock Show tunes posted here? "
Thanks for the listen and feedback brotha.  I didn't want to share the songwriting secret, but since you inquired:
        - Load up "Rock Show Tune" preset in X3.  (You will have to scroll down the list because the first 3 presets are Meatloaf covers)
        - Melodyne everything to taste
        - Load "Mix Bus" Preset on Pro Channel
