Hi-pitch hum when I run M-Audio output via mixing board, but not when I run output direct

I have m-audio fast track and a behringer eurorack mx2004A.  When I run the output of the m-audio to the control room amp/speakers via the mixing board, I get a high-pitched hum...when I run it direct, no hum.  Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Eric

Ground Loop.  Different earth points for the M-Audio than the desk.

But please do not go removing any just try to use a common earth supply point.
