Hiss noise question and free mastering plugins

New on the forum here, so thought to leave a link to -in my opinion- nice free plugins link, all sorts of mastering stuff.
Install just in VST folder and go, no popups / issues.
left a small donation myself, awesome guy doing this I think.

Hope someone would know about Hiss noise, can't get it away in Audacity.
R-mix removes the noise but makes the whole track sound weird.
Thought about trying to 'phase' it away but have not 1 piece of just hiss noise..

Clint, great....will try the Lisp 'de-esser', hope it goes wider range than Sonar Vocal-strip
Hoping one day find way to remove 'soft plectrum' clicking noise on accoustic guitars.

If that's you playing the guitar on Soundcloud -> amazing guitar player

my fellow dutchman Ayreon has a superb talent (I think) for melodies
this old recording is not the best, but the guitarlines....just incredible to my ears.

Thanks for the compliments. I really appreciate it. Since getting Sonar X1 and now X2 and discovering soundcloud. I've been having a blast!
Sleeptime has several other plugins that may be good for the tool box. They won't fix that guitar problem, but they may come in handy someday.
Vladg sound's Limiter No.6 (and the Molot comp) is as good as any Limiter I have tried.
The TDR feedback compressor II by Tokyo Dawn is worth checking out.
I agree with Chregg...Those Variety of sound plugs are top notch, but 32 bit. I haven't ever had a problem with the 32 bit plugins from VOS.
Don't underestimate what comes with Sonar. If you add the Concrete limiter you'll have some very high quality stuff in your Pro channel.

Clint, agree and starting with X1 like you been having good time, better than changing the tv channels all night I used to.
Also really like the Session Drummer motown kit kickdrum, old guy like me like to hear a felt beater on a coated drumhead, no plastic beaters /heads for me.
Using percusion strip can built a great drumkit in Sonar, adding the Transient Shaper can make it sound like 'real' kit.
    Sonar is just awesome

These are 32 bit, but they are free. The newer and improved 64 bit versions are the Toneboosters plugins.

Hahaha! I think I should reign it in a little. Thanks for listening.

Bunch of free stuff out there. I have basically moved on to T-racks deluxe for mastering and I usually use the tools in Sonar for mixing. Virtually everything I would normally use is in the Pro channel. I'm not a big fan of Breverb, so I bought Valhalla Vintage Verb which is great. For pitch correction I bought Melodyne essential for $39. I still like having a bunch of tools in the box and sometimes these free plugins hit the spot. If you find a good noise reduction program let me know.

will check your Soundcloud for new songs sometime, hear how you're doing.

if I ever get the hiss noise away well, will let you know.
till then R-mix does the job, apart from the fade in /out getting to sound bad....but if I get the music sounding great it won't stop the show I guess.

    good luck

. . . was trying to filter out some hiss the other night with R-MIX, but it didn't do what I hoped either . . . but what worked really
well to lose the hiss was the Adobe SoundBooth "clean up audio" tool.
