Holst - Mars Video Mockup | Spitfire Audio+Carles Piles

For those who ask about or interested in orchestral libraries here's a YT video of Holst's The Planets/ Mars.
The music synchronized to video, all virtual instruments done with Spitfire Audio libraries.

Shows what these libs are capable of although I'm equally, if not more impressed with the orchestration itself.

That is too cool...  love the way it's synced to the video - I really did keep forgetting that it wasn't real.   Wow.

That is impressive!!! I applauded at the end! The libraries sound great but it's the attention to detail in the CC expression that is just off the charts. I can't believe how well it was synched to the video too. That's on my playlist....

IKM did that a long time ago with Miroslav Philharmonik. It's a great advertising technique, because psychologically the instruments sound more real because your eyes tell you they are real.

But turn off the video and just listen to the music, and you will hear the little clues that reveal it's sampled. Then, if you're still not convinced, listen to Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra doing Holst. In particular, listen to the brass. Now if there was only a sample library that sounded like that!

That's why these are called a mockups. They're not meant to replicate.

Gives one a bit of insight on why Spitfire libs are some of the best ones available.
The way the artist 'performed' the piece is a good example how expressive, dynamic & realistic they can be.

Also no bouncing & mixing multiple audio tracks, midi rendered to source.
All in all quite the undertaking, he did an excellent job on this.

Oh, I agree. The Spitfire stuff is among the very best there is. State of the art. I was just pointing out the McGurk Effect.
