Holy grail of free big meter for the master bus

There was a thread recently about big meters for the master bus. I can't find the thread (I must seriously suck at searching), but tonight I found a SWEET free, big, smooth meter that does RMS and peak:

Kmeter : http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=12376

Enjoy!

    The main page says:

Environment: Win32 (MS Windows), X11 Applications

Edit:  Just found this on the "Home" page as well:

As K-Meter was coded using cross-platform code, it should be easy to compile versions for Windows (64 bit) and Mac OS X. I just don’t have the adequate systems and compilers.

aye 32 bit. but it works fine with bit bridge.

I'm curious, why don't you like 32bit under bit bridge? 64 bit definitely looks better in sonar, is there a functional reason?

I'm curious, why don't you like 32bit under bit bridge?

besides some visual issues that make working with Sonar/Bitbridge a pita, Bitbridge slows down the refreshrate of my plugins (UAD) to ~4 fps!
it feels as if I'd be working with a 20 year old pc.. (and even then I can't remember ever seeing anything like that)
might be that a Q6600 is not up to the task,.. but compensating the lack of software with a I7 is not a solution either (ok, at some point you have to do either the upgrade or look for something else)
now knowing that the refreshrate of especially such plugins are so slow,.. it would never cross my mind to use a metering-plugin in that environment.
On top of that I get crackles, crashes and so on.. might be just me,.. but switching back to Sonar x32 was such a relief.

    Nice one.

Thanks for the heads up Josh.

I'm on XP Pro (x86) and both vst and standalone work a treat.

    Good instructions included too.

I actually pointed that same meter out in the original thread, which is here:
    http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2301487

I provided a different link, but it's the same one. Glad to hear it works well, I haven't tried it out yet (I have somewhat of an embarrassment of riches when it comes to metering).

hehe. and so you are right! I need to figure out how to search this forum better. I couldn't find your original post, but I got excited when I saw this meter, since we were just talking about it.
