Home vs Pro

Hello!
Still running Win 7 with Sonar Plat, but about ready to make the switch to Win 10.  I have a copy of Win 10 Home edition that I downloaded during the free period.
Question:  What are the disadvantages of Win 10 Pro over the Home edition?  Just purchased some other gear, so I'm not keen to shelling out more dough for the Pro edition, but if its imperative, then obviously I will. I'm sure there is hardware and software that might not function well under the Home edition...  Thoughts?

Thanks!

Plus with Pro you have more control over when regular updates are installed, as well as ability to defer major feature updates (Anniversary, Creators, etc).

This is accomplished with a GUI tool called gpedit.msc (Group Policy Editor) that allows you to enable/disable various features without resorting to registry hacks or disabling services.

It's only a $99 upgrade to Pro from Home via the Microsoft Store.

Otherwise there is no difference with hardware or performance.  Just some additional networking features and things that would be useful to system admins in a small business.  But for the really good stuff in that regard, you would need to spring for Enterprise licenses.

With Win10 Pro... you have more control over shutting unwanted things down (quickly/easily) using the Group Policy Editor.  Easily worth the extra $40

There is no performance difference between Home and Pro.
With Win10, the Group Policy Editor allows you to quickly/easily disable things like Cortana.

Have any of the recent Win 10 updates done anything to break Sonar?

No problems with Windows 10 and Sonar here, and I'm patched up through June 2017 updates.

However I am still running version 1607 (Anniversary), so I cannot comment on version 1703 (Creators).  But there have been a few posts around here that 1703 works well.
