Using 2 Overheads on real cymbals and then triggering the rest of the kit works VERY well for me.

I have built those remo triggers and will say I could never get them to stop faulse triggering.

Really? I have had no probs what so ever, after a bit of tweaking. Maybe its a difference between the Roland and Yamaha brains somehow.

Windows 7 Pro 64bit, Core i7 920, Asus p6td deluxe, Sonar X1c PE, Motu 2408 mk3, Apogee Mini DAC, 3x UAD-1, Digimax FS, Motu Microlite, MCU, Tranzport, Nocturn. And more...

Well I got'em yesterday, got everything set up and tried them out.
I used my old Gibraltar rack instead of the Roland rack that came with it, because the Roland seemed pretty flimsy. It was real thin metal and all the hardware was plastic. The Gibraltar was much more study. But the good thing is all the hardware is the same diameter, so I can add on pieces of the Roland rack if I need them. (already had to add one arm for the TD-6v module).

It plays about like I expected. Good, but not like the real thing. I didn't expect it to feel like an acoustic kit. It's worth it for the sequencing capabilities though. I'll probably eventually replace all the toms with mesh head pads. But this is a good start.
I also bought BFD, so I can't wait to play around with that. Hope the latency is not too bad.

Thanks for all the advice.
