Hooray For My Side!

This is a simple (consider the source), little number containing some social observations about the contentious nature of almost everything today.  Can't we just get along?
As always, crit.'s, suggestions, feedback, etc. are appreciated.

This is a little out of your normal vibe.  Cute lyrics.  The guitar seemed at odds with the melody.

    Hey, Freddy,

How are you, buddy?  Hope you're doing great!

Very cool pop song with a great chorus vocal hook and bit of a 60's vibe!

Excellent lyrics and vocals, clean sounding mix, and the solo fills were nice and bluesy, the final fills during the fadeout sounded like Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top.

    Nice one, Freddy!

Thank you Robby.  I have appreciated all the help on mixing that I have received on this forum.  I need all the help I can get!

Hi Daryl.  Yea it is out of the realm of my usual stuff but taking a walk in a different neighbourhood helps keep me on my toes  ;>)
The lead guitar was intentional.  In general the song (the music part) is a bit of a soft walk but the lyrics are about the contentious state of affairs.  It was my intent by putting in a guitar with a bit of an edge that it would bring out the subject of the lyrics.  That was the thought anyway????

Hello Bob.  Thanks pal!  I appreciate the kind feedback!  Billy Gibbons  --- I only wish that I really could play like him.  Thanks again.

Thanks very much Frank.  I am very glad that you do.  I can reciprocate with the enjoyment of your songs and always marvel at your production capabilities.

Nopossibility1 --- Thank you kindly Nopossibility1.  Wait a minute ... could this be ?.... is it?....can it be? .....Naaah, probably not.

You are most kind Bobby.  Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Scotty. It is a bit of a change. Every once in a while I have to take a hard turn and go to someplace off of the beaten path.  Sometimes it works and other times not.  Thanks for taking the time to listen and respond.

Thanks for listening and commenting Eric.  I appreciate the feedback.

Hello Steve.  I have found that sometimes lyrics start the song and other times it will be a riff or some other part of the music.  The lyrics seemed to come easy on this one once I started.  Once they were finished it seemed to provide a lubricant (lubricant?) for finishing up the rest of the song.  I love it when that happens.  Thanks for listening and for the kind words.

This is a nice quirky song. It reminds me of the Kinks.

    Well done!

Freddy, sure glad I didn't miss this one. This one is a bit different from your norm - it's good to hear. You really seemed to be enjoying yourself on this one - came across that way. Great playing - fun song all the way around.

Sorry for the delay in responding but I have been down in the FL Keys.  There was a lot of rain and a lot of wind --- so, no diving but I did manage to get in a bit of fishing and too much eating of conch chowder and cracked conch.

Hi Robert.  Ya, the song is a bit quirky but consider the source ;>)   Thanks for taking the time to listen and for responding.  I appreciate it.

Hey Mark!.  It is a bit different from my usual stuff.  It is nice to try something different every once in a while.  Yes I did have fun in doing this one but at my age I try and have fun with almost everything when I can ;>)  I am not making my living at this and I know I lack in skill and talent --- so, I might as well have fun!!!
    Thanks for the kind words.
