Hot Tuna Anywhere. (new Geronimo Cowboys tune)

When I wrote this tune, I sent it to Mike with the title Hot Tuna - because I thought it sounded like Hot Tuna.

Mike wrote the lyrics and called it "Anywhere".

Well, that didn't make any sense to me - what in the world does Hot Tuna have to do with Anywhere?

So, we haven't been able to settle on a name - maybe we'll just stick with Hot Tuna Anywhere.

Check it out.

Thanks for taking a listen.

Title notwithstanding: fine guitar work, clean chops. Drums sound good. Either the bass is low in the mix, or it's my crappy little speakers making it disappear. Idiosnycratic vocals are good. Cool tune.

Great cool vibe and groove. All sounds wonderfull apart from the bass- i'm also listening on little speakers and it's just not coming across. Nice track.

Thanks for taking a listen, I would be curious as to how the bass sounds to you played through a decent set of stereo speakers or moniters. I didn't mix this, but I've played the tune through my home system and the bass comes through just fine.

Again, thanks for taken a listen, the coments are much appreciated.

    Clean,
I have no problem hearing the bass on my near-fields. Good tune! FWIW, I came from the Hot Tuna days. Peace

I saw Hot Tuna back in the 70's at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, CA - was a very cool show.

    Thanks hansen.

Clean - nice work. drums are great, clean output. guitar work is excellent. the vox on this fit the tune well, but there's a couple of places where the vocalist's voice cracks that I don't care for. the way this song is created, that might have been done on purpose because it seems to kind of fit the song, but IMO, I would rather change it...

great tune, tho, nice groove. love that cowbell!

Hi Beagle - thanks. This is the only tune of the 18 we've done in which I played all of the instruments - the only thing I didn't do is write the lyrics and sing. I couldn't sing a note if I had too. So, Mike does all of the vox. Mike isn't perfect, but he has a ton of character in his voice that I really like.

Thanks for talking a listen. Take care - and I love the cowbell too.

Nice work, love the guitar. Very good mix; and I was so busy listening to that guitar that I didn't even pay attention to the bass!! Mike certainly has a very unique vocal style, and I mean that in a good way. At first it kind of grated on me, but then you get into it and are waiting to see what he's going to do next!! Fine tune gentlemen. Press ON!!!!
