How about something a bit strange.
Today I found an old hard drive that I hooked up and looked around at the contents of it. There are about 15 songs I did with a friend - Mike Vlahkis. We recorded under the name of Geronimo Cowboys. We recorded together between the years of 2003 to 2005. I'm not quite sure when this song was recorded. This tune has been laying dormant on that hard drive since probably 2004. We didn't always take ourselves serious - we had a blast recording together. This one was written by Mike - the only thing I did was play guitar on this. The tune is called We Have Come So Far. http://www.soundclick.com...&q=hi&newref=1 Thanks for checking our tune out.

Interesting. Bit of a Tom Waits kind of phrasing at times. Very creative

You must have still been working as Geronimo Cowboys later than 2005, because I am sure I remember the name, and have only been here since 08. Very fun tune Mark.

Thanks everyone for the comments - Mike is really a pretty creative guy. Yea Foxwolfen I've reposted some Geronimo Cowboy tunes in the last couple of years - but I think 2005 was it. Thanks again.

I remember Geronimo Cowboys too..this is fun stuff, mix sounds good too. Guitars are very cool, haunting and spacious. Love that repeat echo on 'up' at 1:00, neat touch.

I agree with the Captain Beefheart reference. It does grow in you. Love the band name. I played in a rock band for years called "The Wild West Show". Some guys I knew from Bay City, MI had the best band name way back when.. "Buffalo Chips". Love that name. Bizzare but cool. Daryl

I hear the Zappa and Beefheart influences, too. This is about as off the wall as you can get and still make sense. There will always be a place in my heart for the eclectic.

This ain't strange -- its cool. I definitely get a Zappa vibe on this one (vocals and change-ups). I love the eclectic nature of this song and the 1960's feel. Hey--- who is doing that great guitar work ;>) Freddy J
