How can I dry and FX on left and right?

Hi,
 I asked this in the technique forum but didn't get a reply. Can anyone here help out?
 
On an audio track, using a send to an FX bus, I want an instrument's dry sound on the left and either it's delay or reverb effect (and only it's effect) on the right. How can I do that? I guess I have the send pan, FX pan or some FX control, and the effect bus pan available but I'm not sure of a common way to do this.

    • On your source track, insert two sends going to their own respective busses.
    • Pan Send 1 Left, Send 2 Right
    • Select [Post] on both sends, this will send these Pre-Fader
    • Mute your source track
    • Insert the desired effect on either Send 1 or Send 2
