How can I widen the stereo field of my open pipes?

I hope you don't think I'm not serious.

Maybe there is something I can plug in?

Pipe trouble eh?? Thats never a good thing.  I'm not an expert on that sort of thing or I would offer my expertise.

You could play back your original mono into a nice ambient room and record it with a figure 8 mic, then combine that result with your original through a m/s matrix like Channel Tools.

Would that work?

Does this help in anyway?

Like this, perhaps??? Seriously, you can try a stereo expander plug-in in like Upstereo?

It's good to know what a tuned exhaust is..before widening the field...unless your pipes are
used for sucking....then it may not matter if they're tuned or not.
