How can i change MME to ASIO. (Only option is MME)
How can i change MME to ASIO. (Only option is MME) My M-Audio Keystation 49es was connected to my MPC Renaissance. After checking all setting in all software they all said ASIO Expect in Sonar MIDI P&R Driver Mode. Since Then I have disconnected MIDI plugging it straight into PC. (thinking maybe some awkward hook up in MPC USB port) But... Same result. Thx

Sorry for leaving out this detail... in all the other settings of Sonar it does say ASIO just not in MIDI playback & recording Driver Mode...

MIDI Playback and recording are done by your MIDI device. They will not say ASIO. If you are using a VST Instrument Track, with MIDI in the track view, that will automatically be played back by the ASIO driver through Sonar when "Play" is instantiated.

Sorry to contradict but it does say MME by default. The audio driver package usually provides the MIDI driver unless the Windows driver is used in which case you have a choice of MME or UWP. To make a change you have to close your Preference window then close the Project (Not Sonar) hen open the Preferences again make the change, Apply and reopen your project from the File Menu either by opening the Start screen or the list of recently opened Projects in the File Menu.

I agree with that...I was talking about "Playback via the transport". It will automatically pass to your "Asio Sound Driver" for playback. Not speaking of "MIDI devices" in general.
