How come my Sonar Power Studio 660 FireWire sometimes won't show up in "windows" playback?

the Sonar Power Studio forum seems to be dead with no one visiting it, so I thought I'd say it here.

Win7 64x
SPS-66 FireWire

Sometimes when in the middle of the project my sps-66 will suddenley stop working. The power is still on and in the windows playback devices it is still chosen as default device, but no more sound. if I turn the sps-66 off it still shows up in my windows playback device as default.

Another similar problem I am having with my SPS-66 is that sometimes when I turn it on, my computer won't detect it. I have to do several restarts to make it work. This get's real annoying. there has been no damage to my hardware because I took care of it.

Thanks

Ok, it says FW (even though a search said it was usb). Do you have a FW card with a TI chipset?
