How do I add to/create Clip Groups? [SOLVED]

I want to link some identical clips so that when I edit one, I'm editing all of them. 

So I look at the Cakewalk documentation for X2, and it says:

To create a clip group

1. Select all the clips you want to group together.

2. Do one of the following:



* Press [ (square bracket).



* Right-click any selected clip, point to Add to Clip Group and choose New from the pop-up menu.

A new clip group is created and the group number is displayed next to each clip name.

I select the clips. First of all, pressing the square bracket did nothing. Secondly, when I right click on a clip, there is no option "Add to Clip Group." It just isn't there. I see "Create Selection Group," but all that does is group the clips so that when you select one, you select all of them. Editing one clip of a selection group does not edit all of them. 
This seems like pretty fundamental stuff - if I have a bass line made up of repeating clips then I should be able to edit each instance of a clip simultaneously, instead of editing one and then going through the whole song replacing the others with the edited version. And yet I'm stumped. 

Well that makes sense. I did sneakingly suspect that it would be a messy business for Cakewalk to have implemented a link feature between two possibly different clips. 

You can basically just think of it this way... clip groups lets you quickly select a predetermined group of clips. Selecting one, selects them all. Once selected, you can process them the same way you would any other selected clip, but the process affects them all because they're all selected.

If the clips are vertically aligned (even on different tracks), you can also slip edit them simultaneously.

A great use for this feature is when working with multitrack instruments that need to be synced, like multitrack drums.

By "process" however, that does not include changing the data inside of a MIDI clip.  

If you manually edit, like with the PRV, then no.

But if you process, like with Process > Transpose, then yes, data in all clips is changed.
