How do I conduct a CLEAN INSTALL of SONAR?

How do I conduct a CLEAN INSTALL of SONAR?

I need step by step instructions on how to clear it out of my WIN 7 registry before attempting to re-install.

I am working with SONAR 8.0, then patching up to 8.3.1

Anyone have step by step instructions on how to manually remove previous SONAR 8 installs from Win 7 Registry?

thanks!

There are knowledge base articles for clean install for specific SONAR X series and the current version but nothing for SONAR 8. Here are the instructions for ALL Cakewalk products http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013372/Clean-Install-All-Cakewalk-Software

OK, I did a clean uninstall by following the above steps. I did it while logged in as ADMINISTRATOR.

Still, I get the same result.

The program will not accept the registration code. The error I get is "invalid registration code."

I have a copy of my receipt.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Cakewalk?

    Anyone?

    bobsacco,

    1. Log into your Cakewalk account.
    2.  Click on SHOP at the top of the screen and go down to My Accounts.
    3.  Click on My Products to see the Serial number and registration number to your purchased products.

Use these to activate the software again.

    Peace,

No, the REG and Serial numbers are completely different. THe numbers on the receipt relate to something else.

BTW: I have the correct Serial numbers and REG numbers that were issued and confirmed by Cakewalk.

BUt the program is not registering and I can't seem to get Cakewalk to respond to my several requests.

Does anyone have an idea on how to reach CALKWALK about my problem?

I did it while logged in as ADMINISTRATOR.

its not a matter of logging in as administrator, you must "Right click / select Run as Administrator"

It could if the user is in the real administrator account. Users often mistake a regular account with administrator privileges as the administrator account which as you point out, it is not. A regular user account with administrator privileges is not sufficient in this case.
