How do I edit midi with Drum Map loaded
I have a drum pattern that I can edit with the smart tool but once I load a drum map and out the midi to the drum map I can no longer edit anything. What am I doing wrong?

Did you open the Drum map pane? It is above the keyboard pane where the notes used to be in the PRV.

A drum map shouldn't have any control on editing. A drum map is about routing not about editing.

Hi John
Not sure I know what you mean. I have a snare drum I want to drag down to a rim shot in the ezdrummer drum map. It's thus work on my laptop ok.

Solved the issue. It appears if you convert the middle to a groove clip then you cannot do much with it with the drum map. Once the groove is removed from the clip you have complete control again.

Fitz, I'm glad you found the answer. What I meant was drum maps have no impact on editing. All they do for the PRV is supply names for the notes.

When you create a groove midi clip it locks it in someway probably it needs that requirement for it to work properly
