How do I get Sonar to redraw the waveforms in some files?

In one project some clips have lost their waveform drawings, even though they playback fine.

I know this has something to do with the .wov files associated with the session, but I'm not sure how/what to delete....

What is the best way to get Sonar to redraw the waveforms in these clips??

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Select the clip and then Edit>Bounce to Clips. HTH.

Thanks... but in the long run won't that eat up hard drive space, 'cause it's making duplicate files??
Is there a way to do it without creating new files?

I might be missing something here. This does not sound like a good idea to me.

    I would:

    - Delete the picture cache.
    - enlarge the size of the picture cache.

    Hi The Scar-

You can safely delete your .wov files. SONAR will re-draw the waveforms as necessary. This might require re-loading the current project or re-starting SONAR -- I'm not sure about that. The default location for .wov files is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\[Your SONAR version]\Picture Cache, but AFAIK you can safely delete any you find.

How do I do this? Is it a tweak to the .INI file (which I've never touched: scary!)??

Yes, it's an AUD.INI tweak -- not so scary, though -- not to worry!

    - Close SONAR
    - Make a copy of AUD.INI (just to be safe)
    - Open AUD.INI in Notepad or your favorite text editor
    - Find the line that says "PicCacheMB=<size in MB>" The default is 20.
    - Change that to a higher number. Mine is set at 500.
    - Save the AUD.INI file
    - Re-start SONAR

I can find picture cache in aud. ini, but I can't find it in C/Cakewalk/Sonar 3. I wonder if I have hidden files or something?

I just found it in C/ Cakewalk Projects/ Picture Cache. It wasn't in Sonar 3. Maybe because it goes back to the first time you installed Cakewalk on your particular system.
