    1. Go HERE

    2. Download and install it, no config necessary although you do need to select "Use jbridge" in your 32-bit VSTs etc within the Sonar VST properties. In the Cakewalk Plugin Manager

    3. Realise how great it is. Buy the full version (very cheap)

jBridge works beautifully, and it is very easy to use with Sonar -- no having to scan your plugins or anything like that prior to use.

Just so you know this, it won't work with a number of Sonar's own plugins such as the studio instruments -- i.e. so that you can't use these plugins with other DAW programs.

Also, there's the odd VSTi which seems to work better with Bitbridge; Alchemy is one example. When Alchemy is used with jBridge, i've found it all-but-impossible to correct that hanging midi note problem when playback is stopped in the middle of a bar.

But these are minor points. jBridge is well worth using.

    Regards

Do you have to disable BitBridge before installing jBridge?

Ok, I'm a bit obtuse, but if I install jBridge, and BitBridge is already included with Sonar, which one takes precedent?  Which one controls the plugs I will insert?

Also, what is the advantage of having jBridge?

you choose which one to use on certain plugs in the plugin properties page.

some plugs are more stable on jbridge..  It also keeps bridged plugs from always being on top which does get annoying.

Not only does it not force the window to the top as bitbridge does but IMHO it looks prettier and also allows better access to the presets.
