How do I get the tutorials to work

How do I get the tutorials to work

Ok.....I went and got Sonar 4 Studio this week. I have the iginite Sonar 3 book as well as the owners manual....i have look in both books and have tried to just nodle around but when i try to get the tutorials to work. ( I am assuming that the tutorials are like video's they play and show you how things work??????) But when i open the file and navagate to the c:/program files/cakewalk/tutorials i get the sequencer with the predifined instrumentation to come up. when i click on the play button in the transport bar some of the pre defined demo's will play but some will not. HOWEVER I get nothing else.....no instruction or any thing....What am i soing wrong????

    The tutorials aren't supposed to be videos, they are examples of how projects are put together (see p 47 of your manual).
    Some of the tutorial tunes won't play because you don't have your midi properly configured.

    Hope this points you in the right direction!

    Ok.............I did look at Page 47..............BUT i did not READ Page 47...............Big difference..........so inother words i need to word with the book and the examples.......duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as the midi goes..........I'm still very very new to that end so i will try to see what i do not have set up correct....my midi keybd is an m audio radius 49......i think all it is is a triggering device with no sounds..........i will be investagating that today

    Take a look first a tutorial 8 - it tells you how to use soft synths.
