How do I make it stop???

Recently upgraded to MC6 from MC4 where this was not a problem.  Using Windows XP, when I record a midi track by playing my digital piano, then when playing back, the now time bar stops at the last event.  But if in editing, I shorten the piece, the now time bar wants to continue to the original stopping point.  In MC4 I could grab the end bar with my mouse and move it to the new end time, but I can't seem to find a way to do this in MC6, so there is a long silence at the end of the piece.  I'd very much appreciate some help here.  Thanks

I'm not on the DAW right now.... but MC6 is similar to MC4. There is some sort of midi event that is out at the original stopping point. It could be a pedal event.... and MC sees that and keeps the timeline running until it gets there. Be sure you either move or delete ALL the events out there. If the track has a dotted line down the center, it indicates there is something else further to the right.

    Same applies to audio.
