How do I open the older-project Sonitus EQ settings in X1?

So when I open an 8.5.3 project in X1 and click on an EQ button in Prochannel a message to the effect that the track is still using Sonitus EQ pops up. Well, that's what I want - the Sonitus EQ. How do I actually GET that eq plot into an active Sonitus EQ?

Anyone else find this a-knawing?

If this is an older project and you want to continue using Sonitus then don't open the Pro Channel itself. Just view the channel in the Inspector, and dbl click the graphical eq plot. This opens Sonitus (at least it does on my machine).

This won't work with channels that don't already have Sonitus already applied to them, or in new projects.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!

You can save the Sonitus EQ settings as a preset in ver 8.5 or earlier and then load the preset in a plug-in instance of Sonitus EQ in ver X1. Here"s how:

While in SONAR 8.5 or an earlier version of SONAR, double click the EQ plot in the mixer view and the full 6-band Sonitus EQ will open from the abbreviated 4-band version contained in the mixer.

Save the settings as a preset with an appropriate name.

Go ahead and then open your project in SONAR X1, and instead of opening the pro channel add the Sonitus EQ to the effects bin.

Load your newly named Sonitus preset and it (Sonitus EQ) will load your settings as in the previous SONAR version's project.

NOTE, you may have to browse for the preset in SONAR 8.5's Preset folder instead, as that is where it was most likely stored, but it should load just fine.

Now your track will have the same EQ settings in both versions of SONAR!
