How do I see my old posts?
Hi, Has this forum had an overhaul? I cannot find my old posts, and I need the info I was given. Also, I notice only 27 pages of posts for the X series forum. I was hoping to stick with X2 and do forum searches for stuff I need, but if only 27 pages is kept, it is not going to be long before all the posts are about x3. Are older threads/posts being deleted for good? thanks

At the top of the full version forum is a menu one of which reads "Posts". Under there you'll find "myposts" which will show you them. Alternatively check your profile where you'll also find a page with them on.

The old posts are here. At the bottom of the page of threads is a filter to adjust the number of days to show. Also it may be easier to search the forum using google. Include "site:forum.cakewalk.com" in the search criteria to filter the search results to the forum.

Google is indeed far more reliable. If I'm looking for an old post of mine I google my username + cakewalk forums + any relative words from the thread/title. Sometimes it takes a couple tries but it works far better than trying to search the forum itself.

Thanks guys - I just found my old posts. I will use Google for search from now on. Just tried it and it worked great, thanks! How strange that the forum limits the number of pages you can see, but yet they are still here, hiding! Oh well... thanks

Did you try setting the Time Filter at the bottom to All?

Oh thanks Steve, I didn't spot that. Now I have 513 pages of posts! The first post says: "November 01, 10 4:09 PM" - does this time and date format mean the year 2010? thanks

I believe so... its possible that when they upgraded the forum software they could only go back so far.
