How do I update my Z3ta+2 without using the CCC?
Hi there, Just noticed there's an update to Z3ta+2. As I've had this synth pre-loaded prior to the CCC I was hoping there would be a way to manually update somehow. I went to my account and went through my registered products hoping the update would be there, which I could then download. To my surprise my Z3ta+2 doesn't even appear there! Anyone know how I can update Z3ta+2 without having to install the whole thing again with the CCC?

You might need to shoot tech support an email on this if it still doesn't show up by tomorrow. I just checked my store account and the new build of Z3ta+2 (2.2.0.95) shows up at the very top of the list. I am not sure when it went "live" though, since the CW staff has been working late getting this out to us.
ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

Even my old Project 5 product shows up! I'll wait a while and see if the update shows. Cheers.

Yip, Had this when installing Z3TA+ 2 last night vis CCC. I too had Z3TA+ 2 pre CCC days. CCC did not find the previous install nor update it. Via CCC it installs itself in the cakewalk content folder and the VST64 bit folder that you might have set in preferences in CCC. I did notice that after doing a CCC install of anything it does download the install files first to a folder on your PC that again is setup in CCC preferences. Sets up a cakewalk folder there. After using CCC it does not clean this up so all the install files are there if you need them in the future :D A round about way would be to install via CCC. Grab the install file from that folder. Uninstall Z3TA and install again via that installer which is the normal installer asking you where you want it installed, unlike CCC. I also dont find Z3TA+ 2 to be the most portable of VSTi instruments as it does seem to need bits installed in PROGRAM FILES Folder as well as in your VST64 Bit folder and maybe the cakewalk content folder.

Thanks for all your advice. It seems however, that some users are now seeing problems with Z3ta+2 patches not sticking after the update. I wrote to tech support regarding the best way to update manually, but are yet to hear back. Looks like in this instance I was lucky not to have updated! Time to wait till the dust settles on this one. Cheers.

Best way to update 'manually' is to use the CCC! Just go into CCC settings and tick verbose mode. It will then run the package as if you downloaded and double clicked it on your hard drive with all the prompts. Edit... Then again if you can't see it nothing to add to previous advice.
