How do i get control over sonar?

Hello again... 
I'm looking for a tutorial on how to set up controls,i want to be able to hit play or record on my MPC and trigger the play record or stop in sonar.is that possible?

    See chapter 40 in the Sonar Reference Guide. Generic Surface is normally the way to go for transport control.
