How do turn off "auto-preview" and "loop preview" permanently?

In the browser, when I click a file, I hate how it just starts playing. Is there a way to disable the "auto-preview" and "loop preview" permanently so that they are always off whenever I open up Sonar?

I haven't tried it but I would imagine that setting it how you want it and then saving it as your normal template will do that. That works on most things for setting defaults BTW.

How do I save that as my normal template? I've never done it before

I would also like the aim assist line to remain on permanently, I suppose I could do that the same way?

I'm not sure about the aim assist TBH....

However one of the first things I do with a new install is the template.

    1. Set up you project how you like it (or use a project and just delete all the audio etc) and then select "Save As"
    2. Change the "Save As type" to template
    3. Navigate to your template directory
    4. Select "Normal" then Save
    5. Ok the Overwrite request.

That's if you want that as default for when you press Ctrl+N. You can of course save any number of templates and in fact really should if you work on lots of different projects. I have templates set up for various types, band projects, quick idea jotters, mixing templates, mastering templates etc. all set up with various buss routings, PC modules, effects etc etc.

I got it to work, thanks! Yeah the aim assist doesn't work, but I can live with that

You're welcome. I don't think Aim Assist persists on screensets never mind templates, I seem to be constantly pressing my shortcut anyway. Hopefully that's something that'll be addressed at some point.
