When Jesus died, He did it so that you, me, and everyone else on the face of this earth may live and have a chance to see the kingdom of heaven should you choose to believe in Him and your lifestyle is evident that you believe in Him. Sonar is not comparable to Jesus, not even in a joking way. I like Sonar 6 a lot, it's the best thing that happened to digital audio for me. I just don't see how one could use the name of Jesus in such a cheap way. If you feel as good about Sonar as I do, then you should credit that to God, since all good things come from Him. I think I should stop here because this could get very big and that's not what this forum is about. I just didn't feel so good about seeing His name used that way. I guess since I was just talking with Him, I kind of took offense to this since I know how good He is to all of us, that just wasn't high enough praise to me, even though you said Hallelujah, which is the highest praise.
Everybody has the right to make fun of your Jesus, since it's everybody's right not to believe the myth. I personally think Sonar would be more like Jesus if he would curse me or the trees in front of my house and generally be unreasonable ("You want to groove quantize this clip? Curse ye to hell!")

Poor choice for a thread title. That's who should take the blame, not the person who shared their beliefs as a reason for why they felt that was a poor choice for a comparison. They were absolutely right to say that "the door was opened" for them to respond like that. And the rest of y'all... sheesh... Oh, my poor mind has been offended by someone sharing their beliefs!!  You're just as annoying as the proselyters can be in the opposite sense. This board is likely to have Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormons, etc. Why do something so obviously derogatory? It would be just as insensitive to say something like "Sonar is like your dead mother," when obviously there are likely to be people here whose mothers have died. CW, please kill this thread already.

with all due respect, give the guy a break. He didn't start a thread attempting to offer anyone salvation by turning to Jesus- he responded to a thread with a comment that he took offense to. He explained why he was offended by it. If you're going to block someone for bringing theology into the forum, block the guy that started it.
