How many people are on this site? Please check in

Lennon believed in power to the people. I would like to find out how much power this site has.

There our peoplle on this site that want to pay for the same things we can do. Why?

I would like to find out just how many people we have on this site that play or sing.

Please make a post, if you write sing or play and or record music. I hope this works.

Please give it a chance, I know there is a lot of talented people on this site.

Cheers,
Terry

I do everything in my recordings, I play Piano to grade 5 standard (quit when I was 12), guitar pretty good, bass, drums and vocals. I work hard on my production etc and try to make music the best it is. I've had a few people pay me for some recordings and I know why; they want to sound good, they can't without me, so they see money as the best way to my experience

This is a recording site Terry. Its a reasonable assumption that everyone here records. Why don't you get specific about what you are trying to do?

Yeah, and look what happened to him.

    (okay - poor taste. Sorry)

    Okay, I'll play along. I write/play/record music.

I would also be willing to participate in overthrowing the Chinese government (if we can get enough guys).

Barlow, you've taken a great deal of pressure off of me today...I had to staple one of my hands to the ceiling fan as not to reply in kind to the Lennon thingy. I too would be willing to head to China and if successful we could all have T-shirts made.

Could someone swing by and help get this staple out?

From what I've heard here, there are a lot of really untalented people too.
But at least they are having fun though. With Sonar, even the most musically inept can cut and paste their way to something that resembles music. If it brings them enjoyment then thats what it's all about, isn't it?

I hope you aren't trying to win friends and influence people by talking like that.

Terry: just trying to inject a little humor.

But seriously, what did you have in mind? Not sure if your post was as clear as you might have intended - at least it wasn't to me (and I speak from experience in this department).

I think it is more likely that people will post to this thread than for any other reason.

I'll give it a chance. (had to). +1 for the starving artist...using the terms 'starving' and 'artist' loosely.

I've posted some stuff. I kinda see what you are getting at because you said :

"Play or Sing", if I understand you right your talking about actually playing music as opposed to using electronic gimmicks to make music?

I did one tune with loops just as a learning process but I let it be widely known that it was just a learning process. Although I will say I'm starting to warm up to loops and samples as a means of making a click track, or using them for "DRUMS" only. Most of the time I just plug in the old Keyboard "Which I ain't no keyboard player" and set it up for drums and play drums with my fingers on that.

I am not a singer although I wish I was : "I try, and I ain't gonna give up" because it's fun for me to try and sometimes I do ok on what I am doing or at least I like to think so, there's only one way to get better and thats by trying and practicing.

As for playing : I do play the guitar, that's my main instruments, anything I do on the bass I spend very little time on it when I should spend more time learning to play it.

I hope I've answered your question right. I probably got WAY off topic. But I thought I'd try.......
