How much did you pay for Rapture?

I paid $199 at Musicians Friend. How about the rest of you?

Great things happen in a vacuum.

Same price ($199) through Sam Ash - they had it in the store in Lyndhurst OH and on their website.

    I could've paid $159 through Academic Superstore.

No idea. Sam Ash had it in-stock. I was three feet from the box (in a locked glass cabinet) in the Lyndhurst OH store. I forget what was going on, but I had to leave on short notice, or wasn't sure I wanted it, or what, and I ended up leaving without it ... I regretted it, and I wouldn't be able to go back till this weekend... ... so I bought it from their web store, which also had it in-stock. It arrived yesterday, so I got it just as fast as if I'd gone back to the store - and no sales tax or 1/3 tank of gas, either.

What makes you think they were out of stock? I didn't call or anything to verify, but I went ahead and ordered it yesterday from them for $159. I HOPE they have it in stock....

Just a word of warning...My first avatar was a picture of my first granddaughter snuggling one of my dogs and a few users (I suspect young "wanna-be-stars" who were using pirated copies of the software) began posting derogatory remarks about the correlation between my user name and the picture...(I should add that most of those posts occured after I had replied to one of their really stupid questions in, what I considered appropriate at the time, a less than cordial manner)...You know, a question like "Do I need a microphone to record vocals?" kind of question (yes, that question actually HAS been posted!)...

Anyway, your kid's a cutie! My granddaughters (I now have two) both love being in their "Papa's" studio and playing the piano, tambourine, drums, etc., and wearing my headphones when a mic is on...(And, I record many of their "studio works" for future listening pleasure as they grow older)...

    Regards,
    Papa
