How often do you clean your eye glasses?

Well I do it about once a week or till I almost run someone off the road. I hang them on the mirror in the car cuz I keep losing them and can't find them cuz I don't have my glasses on. So they stay IN MY CAR!. I found out I need a new prescription so maybe that will take care of the running people off the road part!

I see life through dust colored glasses.

Are those white or grey socks you have on McQ?

Not often enough.  I always have some fingerprints on them. 

I want to know what in the universe sparks this kind of question?

Mike if I couldn't think of a better question than that....probably 3-4 times a day and
with nothing other than the spray and cloth -the kind that came with them. Never the shirt
or hand towels, kitchen towels, paper napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, somebody else's shirt, or paper. Only the cloth and spray that came with them or same in kind.

I also check all the little screws and nose piece pads...I like them to be clean and
I check condition. 
I also spin them around checking the socks and frame to see if they need to be cleaned
or if the frame has been bent. I never chew on my earpieces as I've seen some do...but
if I'm outside I might try to fry an ant but never can because I'm farsighted.

I'll work the arms to see if the screws are torqued correctly.
I'll check the nose pieces to make sure they are latched correctly as they are an integral
part of the replacement lense system.

Then I'm done until the next check. If I left out something I'll be sure and update this.

OH! I'll also check my side-shields on my safety glasses. Make sure they are connected
correctly and sitting in the right place as they slide on the arms and can possible slide to
far towards the earpiece and leave a gap for flying objects to enter and possibly damaging
my eyeball. Even sawdust and small flying objects..not just big objects like UFO's.

Well I think that just about covers it....for now. Good question Mike.

I can't pickup radio and I was breaking a sweat thinking how long it might
take them to play that damn song even if I could.

Sometimes I see Purple Rain because of the artist formerly know as Prints. 

Main pair about 2-3 times a day.

Studio Glasses when they need it (Daily)

Reading most times I use them.

Like Spacey I am long sighted but can not do with multi vision lenses, they make me puke and give me a pain in the neck, all that head wiggling just to get the right bit in front of the eyes. Cloth and spray.

I hate going to get new glasses. This pair broke. The nose bar broke and was made of something that they could not fix... so I had the lens' ground down a little to fit a cheaper frame until I got new ones. Yeah, an arm broke on them and they had some spares, one was close so now I have rigged lens and different arms. They never bother me until I drive at night, then I realize that I have to slide them down to the tip of my nose to keep from seeing big stars around head lights and tail lights... I need to get new glasses.
BTW re the OP, I usually clean them when I get spots on them. What I hate is when t is hot and sweat drips on them. You have to use a cleaner to get that off. I buy the boxes of pre-moistened cleaners t Wal-Mart, they work well.

I have had two exams and two prescriptions and have put it off so long I will need to get another one when I finally get around to it. I just HATE the idea of spending what it costs for a good pair of glasses but I will do it soon... think I am going to two pair, maybe three. Progressive bifocals, TV glasses, and computer(arm length glasses)... maybe.

It's good to get your eyes checked regularly if you can. I have just had a new pair of glasses made for my up closer music production type work. And as your eyes change over time so too they change the lenses to suit. My monitor looks razor sharp right now for me, better than it was.

I clean them at the start of each day with a quality spray and cloth. Important not to clean them when they are too dry. Everything just seems so clear after that first clean. (I can see clearly now that grime has gone) It is quite amazing sometimes what gets on them by the end of the day just before you go to sleep. It is good to check on them during the day too holding them up to the light for an accurate inspection of the state of play.
