How to Edit a rx2 file in Sonar X1?

Dear folks,
I can import rx2 files through browser in X1 and then double click it and loop construction view opens in which I’m able to edit the level, pitch, pan of each slices….that`s ok so far….but how can I remove some slices or move them freely throughout the loop itself….! It seems I’m not able to totally edit an rx2 file in loop construction…yes?
Your help would be really appreciated,
Joopin

Right-click on the loop on the Track View and Bounce to Clip. This will convert the REX file to a WAV file which will work fully in the LCV.

The LCV doesn't let you move slices around though, which certainly would be cool. You can, however, use AudioSnap to chop up the file and then move the slices around in the TV.

Check out CakeTV where there is a video called 'AudioSnap 2.0 Slicing and Sampling'.

You can load RX2 (REX) files into the RXP Synth, which will allow you to manipulate and move the slices.

but RXP won't allow you to remove slices (although you can achieve the equivalent by triggering slices with MIDI and not triggering those slices you wanted to remove)

Yep, that's the main reason for using REX files... being able to trigger each slice via MIDI. Otherwise, you might as well just use regular loops or Groove clips.

By RXP we are not able to move the slices freely wherever we want! just replace with another one! therefor we have to trigger each slice via MIDI and put slice wherever we want....am i right?
