How to apply tempo map changes permanently to audio clips???

http://blog.cakewalk.com/sync-your-daw-audio/

And then how can the tempo map be applied to change the audio to be the same tempo throughout no longer requiring the tempo map?

I have a couple of projects from years ago, similarly to what instructions show, and editing/ moving any audio bits becomes unhappy. Attempting to add new material before the clips start does not work. Got discouraged.

Only thing I can figger is to export the audio tracks to apply the change the audio to the tempo map, and then import into a project with the arrived at general tempo. Have not yet tried this.

That I remember, bouncing to tracks/clips does not work because the tempo map still exists in the project.

Other ideas.
