How to automate VST's x86 (32 bit) in Sonar X2 (64 bit)?


Hello.
I have Windows 7, 64-bit Sonar X2a and some plugins in 32-bit. As you know in Sonar X2, can load 32-bit plugins by BitBridge. The problem is that when you insert a plugin (instrument or effect either), you can't put it together with the "W" to capture the automation of plugin parameters.

In Sonar 8.5 (32-bit) and earlier could perfectly, because these controls appear in the plugin window:


In Sonar X2 are these controls for 64-bit plugins:



But for a 32-bit plugin in Sonar 64bit X2 that menu does not appear, but it has one (sorry I haven't the screenshot) in which appears the option to enable the plugin (ON / OFF), but do not appear armaments such options icon (W) and the other icons appear before.

Does anyone know if this can be done by or otherwise jBridge alternative? ie, how do you record the 32bits plugins parameters in Sonar X2 64-bit?

    Hold down shift when double clicking the plugin in the bin. This will additionally open the header that has the preset manager and other drop down menus. You may have to move the plugin window out of the way to see it.

    Or use the W on the track.

    or use jBridge and work with x32 plugins in sonar x64 like you do with x64 plugins ;)

    I am using some 32 bit plugs on a 64 bit platform as well...how does one get JBridge and install it...I have never looked into this...forgive my ignorance! Is it a free prgram and as simple as clicking an .EXE program and done?

    All you would ever want to know about JBridge is here http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/ The best solution is to avoid 32bit plugins if you are running a 64bit DAW, bridging technology is a stopgap measure.

    Thanks for the link...I will check it out later today. I just have a couple 32 bit ones that I like...most everything else is 64...

    Hello,  SOLVED!! 
    I installed jBridge and there is no problem. The menu bar appears, and I can record all automations fluidly.
    jBridge should come integrated in Sonar X2 and not the "****" BitBridge, which comes with Sonar.


    Scook, I'll try what you say "Hold down shift when to double clicking the plugin in the bin", but what you say about "Or use the W on the track" does not work.

    Works perfectly, pressing Shift when double clicking the plugin. Now I can automate the parameters.
