How to bounce clip to save resources

Ok guys i am sure there is a way to do this, I have a song with 14 guitar tracks and everyone of them has amplitube 3 on it using different amps and settings, needless to say this is a resource hog, my cpu is not maxed out, but it is getting up there and i dont want any problems when i start to mix and adding other plugs, so how can i make the clip so the amp sims are imbedded into the track and then i can delete the amplitube vst, so its not processing anymore but still has the sound of the amp sim, hope you guys understand, thanks in advance.

daveny 5, ok tried to freeze the tracks and that worked, but it disables the effects bin, so i cant compress or anything, if i unfreeze then i am back in the same boat, how to i keep the audio clip that the freeze created when i unfreeze?

If you create another audio track, you can copy all or part of the frozen track and paste it into the new audio track. Then mute the frozen track so that you're keeping your original and keeping the resource out of the CPU cycles. You can then do what you want with the audio track. This works for all frozen tracks.

If you're a 100% sure about the sound you got, you can process the clip with Amplitube.

Righclick on the clip -> Process Effect -> Audio Effects -> Amplitube

Load the desired patch and click OK.

Amplitube is applied to the clip and you can remove it from your FX bin

im with you on this..if youve listened to this track a 1000 times and know the amplitude sound is not going to change then do that

but i would do it a little differently.

you already have amplitude where you want it (settings wise) so grab amplitude from the effects bin and drag it right into the clip, then right click and bounce to clips.
but you need to bounce to clips first before putting it in the track.because if you have any splits then amplitude will only process up untill that split.
its called the clip bin, kinda like the effects bin..well every clip has a bin as well.

before you delete your track make sure you like the overall sound, cause it is permenent homie.

what i do when doing this is i go right into my cakewalk project folder into the song im working on and make a back up of the whole song.
this way if all goes aray you can always "icksnay" / 86 the messed up one and revert back your original.
im my case i usualy just grab the guitar tracks and import them back in if i dont like the sound later on,its easy just find them in your project folder by using the browser, drag ang and drop hommie !!

Or you could just Archive the original track after bouncing with the effect - it stays in place but doesn't use any resources. If it bothers you to look at then just Hide Track. A little easier than going thru all the other trouble but whatever works for you.

If you saw the way I work/have worked you'd probably get it, bit it's really irrelevant which is why I said "whatever works for you".
