How to change Audition length in Quantize? X1b
How can I change the length of time that Audition (in the Quantize dialog) will play for? Now it plays about two bars and then returns to 0.0. I want to hear a much longer portion of the track. I searched the Help in Sonar. I looked in the Help on the Quantize dialog. No help. It just says to hit Stop to stop. Thanks for any help. It is frustrating to not find an explanation easily in the X1 help system. I couldn't find it in a forum search either, but I'll bet it's here somewhere, waiting for me to type the lucky search term. Thanks.

In addition, I should have mentioned this is in a MIDI track. Just in case that makes a difference.

Hi Dave- I don't know if this will help since I'm still on 8.5.3, but there it's under Options > Global > General: "Audition commands for n seconds". -Susan

Thanks Susan, I always appreciate your help here and on the usenet group. X1 uses a different layout for Preferences. I searched every tab on both the Basic and Advanced tabs, but couldn't find it. Thanks for trying. I do remember that option in 8.5, so it may be in X1 somewhere.

Are you looking for "Preferences->Audio->Playback and Recording->Command Audition Length (seconds)"?

Glad that worked for you, Dave. I hear you, Jonesey. I think I'm slowly getting accustomed to X1, but there are definitely some feature expeditions I've had to go on. I actually like the way most things are organized in X1. I did a fair share of searching for settings in 8.5 too and I seem to remember where things are a little better in X1 (after I've tracked them down, of course. LOL) Regards, Don
