*LOL* Now if only I could find a way to convert all my mixes to 78rpm vinyl...*LOL* EDIT: Perhaps it's time for CW to consider requiring a legitimate CW product registration before allowing someone to start a new thread?

Why do people click on the threads like "How to convert any video to any format on any computer..."? These spammers have been coming into this (and other) forums for years...They're obviously spammers because they never return...There should be something that CW can do to stop this...

The Wall that would be too kind I am sure we could all devise a much more appropriate punishment. TOS denies details being given here.

They have tried. They simply use a new name and Email to log on. They stopped the robots but there's nothing they can do about real people. The only way to stop it is with a registered user forum and I would be opposed to that. I like the idea that anyone can come here.

I just thought of a way that could help. In order to register here you have to wait for an email that could be automatic but you would have to have a valid Email account to get the Email. Once you get that you then click on a web address to verify that you are a person with a real Email account. It may not stop some but at some point they may run out of an Email account to use. Each step along the way they would required you to enter the codes that help stop spammers. As now if an Email account and or IP address is found to be for spamming then those IPs and Email accounts would be band. I don't know if it would work or not and CW may not want to put too much red tape for customer relations reasons.

Great post title, Dane. I thought I was in "Coffee House" by mistake. It could be stopped by a policy where new members post have to be approved by the moderators, say 10 valid posts before you can post "unsupervised". However thats a lot of work for the moderators and hard on genuine new members.

I, for one, would love to learn how to convert video from one format to another using my computer. But every time they post you guys complain, it gets deleted, and I am deprived of one more fabulous learning opportunity!!!

I usually avoid these spammer threads. Somehow though, the title made me have a look... I was intrigued.
