How to copy a cd with cakewalk. Please help!!!

I have an audio cd that my friend did and wanted to edit it for them. Is it possible to record that cd on cakewalk (and still have it sound good) and edit it? If so please explain.

You have to rip the songs on the CD as .wav files to your hard drive. Then, you can import the .wav files into MC and manipulate at your will. The files won't have drums, guitars, keys, and vocals in single tracks - rather the whole song will be in one track. You will basically be able to cut, paste, rearrange, apply effects, etc. to the entire song.

You will not be able to delete the drums, for instance, and re-record a drum track.
