How to copy tracks into a new file

Hi all again, I want to take tracks - I don't care about anything but the actual events, really - the rest I can re-create (but if I can copy all, great) and copy them into a new file; I'm having trouble with the file in which they currently reside. Any idea on how to do this? Thanks, Eric

Delete anything you don't want in the project and do a "SAVE AS" and save under a new name.

Or try to debug the project by opening it in SAFE MODE (hold SHIFT while clicking on the project filename) to open).

I would suggest you clone the track and then tweak the clone and you will still have the original in case you muck something up.  Piece of cake.  Good Luck!

Thanks! I managed to fix my problem by arming, hitting space bar to play and then hitting "r". That solved everything. Go figure.

Really? That's a strange solution. Why not copy and paste?
