How to create a chord track in platinum and use the copy paste option

What is the best way to create a chord track in Sonar Platinum. This is helpful when recording musicians not having to read from a score or lead sheet. I find difficult to copy paste the chords from the past 12 or 16 bars to another location not very useful at present time, I also notice that using a blank audio track to create the chord track, it  did not give me the option to modify the title page for that chord track. What I'm I not understanding here, can someone help me find the best way to do this. I can only wish that the chord track do what its suppose to do  in a more friendly way with more flexible options.

Thank you

I used a MIDI track with chord names as clip names (hence one clip per chord). makes nice reading and also works as input for a pad synth.
