How to delete events containing missing audio?
I'm trying to backup a project in X1 as a bundle and I get the message: "Please delete events containing missing audio before attempting to save as a bundle." In the events manager I don't see any events to delete even though everything appears to be selected. Is there a way to determine witch events are missing audio and how do I delete them?

I do not know much about this - anytime I had any messages about missing audio, it was because I had an audio track that could not locate the audio clip that used to be present in the audio folder. I had copied the CWP file to a new project folder, but forgot to copy the audio folder with a track's recorded audio. Is it possible you have a track who's audio is no longer where it used to be or had been deleted? Bob Bone

I wouldn't bother saving as a bundle, just back up the project by saving it to your backup location. If a bundle gets corrupted - for whatever reason - you've lost the whole project. If a project gets corrupted, you have a chance of rebuilding it from the existing .wavs

So if my C drive crashed and I had to reinstall SONAR, would my project be safe if I only have the .cwp file backed up along with the "Copy all audio with project" box checked? Should I also be backing up any other Cakewalk folders? I've been backing up my effects and project templates too. I had been using a bundle as my backup but would like to switch to .cwp as this would allow me to just drag drop entire projects, instead of the one song at a time process of creating bundles.

Is it possible you have a track who's audio is no longer where it used to be or had been deleted? (not sure why my reply is in quotes, I see no "[quote ]" tags) The audio file was deleted intentionally (not that it was the correct thing to do). I eventually found the hidden event which was at 0:00 time and was shrunk to 0 lenght. I extended it back out and deleted the event.

You should be ok with this strategy. I drag my entire Cakewalk Projects folder to my backup drive regularly, and I also make sure there's another safety copy kept off site, though i don't update this as often as I should! Taking an image of your system drive is important as it will relieve some of the pain if you do ever suffer from a C drive failure
