How to deseed a pomegranate in 10 seconds

Awesome.  Will try.

Never had a pomegranate.  So, once you're done with that technique (which also tends to work when you need to knock some sense into someone), do you eat what's left in the bowl (i.e., the seeds) or the rest of the fruit?

This all sounds like too much work to me...

I've always just spit the seeds out... will I get high if I eat them?
 
Actually my first thought when I read the title was "12 gauge", LOL.

I'm still lost on what part(s) you're supposed to eat!  "Eat the seeds"  "Spit the seeds out"  Huh?

I feed them to the deer .... let them deal with the seeds.
 
I get the juice and drink it....

But for me the unhurried ritual is part of the joy. You don't eat a pomegranate in the car, take one along to a ballgame or munch one while replying to CH threads. You lay out some paper towels, put on Sharknado,  Bride of Chucky or The Walking Dead and slowly crack open the outer shell and let the crimson juice run down your arm as you pick out its innards.

Thanks for posting. We have a pomegranate at the house so I gave it a try. It worked OK but I still did a lot of work to get all the seeds out. Certainly took me more than 10 seconds! lol

Yeah they're always better than you'll ever be at it in these video demonstrations. There's one that did the rounds a few years ago of how to fold a t-shirt perfectly Japanese style, in seconds. I've been folding my t-shirts like that now for 3 years and I still can't do it as well as the woman in the video.

I just tried this and am currently eating a bowl of sweet sweet pomegranate seeds. 
 
It didn't exactly go according to plan. I realized that for some reason, I don't have a wooden spoon. I have this lame plastic one instead that isn't sufficiently thwacky. So I decided to use something else. You'd think I'd just try a normal dessert spoon but nooo....I figured my garlic press would be awesomely thwacky. It was...and I ended up splashing pomegranate juice all over the kitchen wall. It gets messy if you thwack too hard. So for the second half you'd think I'd just try a normal dessert spoon but nooo.....I figured I'd try the plastic spoon. Took ages. 
 
Lessons learned. Pomegranate #2 is gonna be my b****.
