How to download Music Creator LE with no CD slot?

Hello, I recently bought a Samson GoMic that came with the Cakewalk "Music Creator LE" CD.
I would like to download this software, however I no longer have a CD slot for my computer so I have no idea how I can get use out of this CD.
Is there any other way I can install the software? Can I prove I bought my microphone and the disc came with it or something? :/

I'm not positive, but it might even be DVD.  the boxed version of MC comes on DVD ever since MC5, so even if you had a CD drive it might not work - but I don't know for certain if the MCLE is on CD or DVD.

but to answer your question - no, it's just not really possible unless you have a drive you can use to install it or if you have access to another computer you might be able to copy all of the files onto a USB drive (if you can find one big enough to hold all of the files) and then install it on your computer from that.

or you might could zip up the contents of the install disk on another computer and upload it to www.yousendit.com then download it on your computer, unzip it and install it.

another option is to spend $50 on the full version of MC6 and download it from the cakewalk store.

when you do get things working - the samson go mic is better than most USB mics in that you can use it as input and output so you won't have sync problems if you use it that way.  but you'll need to hook speakers or headphones up to the OUTPUT on the MIC.

otherwise I do not normally recommend anyone get those USB mics because they can be a real pain with sync problems and setup.

If you have a friend with a computer that has a DVD drive you can copy the DVD/CD to a USB stick and install it from there.

I had to do that some time back. For some reason (later learned it was a corrupt module in my OS) the DVD would not run in the lappy. So I used my daughter's computer and copied the entire DVD to my USB stick where I was able to run it and get the program installed.  (MC5 on DVD)
