How to give a bunch of midi notes one same value? (in my case, note length) [Resolved]

I selected a bunch of midi notes in the piano roll view and changed the length of all of them by dragging the ends.
I expected all to end up with the same length.
But no, as you drag the ends, the POSITION of the ends all move together, keeping the same relative distance to the mouse.

Even if I drag them right so they have no length at all, then stretch them back out again, the longest
emerges first, then the next longest, all the way down to the shortest.

This behavior makes sense for moving the START of a bunch of notes. But surely not the ends?
Except from the point of view of a programmer, I guess.

Anyhow, my real question is:
How can I set a midi value of some selected notes in a bar to be the same? In my case, note length.

Select the notes and change their duration in the Event Inspector.

    Excellent, thanks!

...it was off-screen. I had to delete some of those ribbons before I could see it.
Is there no way to make one or more ribbons float?

If you are using the 2015 version of Sonar then you can hover over a "collapsed" module (or as you call it "ribbon") and the whole module will popout below it as long as your cursor is above it.

No way to float them individually though (except for the Tools Module/HUD).

Or hold down the SHIFT key and drag the right edge of one of the selected notes (if you are using the 2015 version).

    Tak T.
