How to import .sfz

Hello,

I recently bought MC6, and it a good software. Easy to use, but I don't find how to import other instruments (.sfz).

I wonder : How can I import other instruments in Music creator? I have a lot of instruments in the "CakewalkSoundCenter" (Steinway Grand Piano, World Instruments, Vintage Keyboards, Modern Strings) but I want to add more instruments, and I have .sfz files ().

Regards,

You need VST soft synths/samplers that support sound fonts. AFAIK, you can't import sound fonts to MC, you must import them to a VST that can play them. Some or one of the Cakewalk synths supports sfz's but now I don't remember which one.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

install the new synth SFZ or other onto the computer. Have it install into the VST folder in cake or remember where it did install and then you will need to ADD the new synth by using the PLUG IN MANAGER> ADD NEW and run the scan.

It should then show up in the list of available synths

CSC is a player only. You cannot add your own content. You can purchase expansion packs for the player. CSC is a read-only combination of two Cakewalk synths Dimension Pro and Rapture. The full versions of those synth can be extended with your sfz files. Those synths have gone on sale in the past for $19 each. Tremendous values at that price. Otherwise you will need an sfz player. sforzando is a free sfz player. TX16Wx is a free sampler that plays sfz files.
