How to make MIdi's Sound Better

Sorry for being dumb but how can i take a midi file of a song and change it's sound from cheesy to real sounding instruments?? Ive been messing with the plug ins but don't quite understand them? and can't get them to change the sounds and stay on the tracks??

    In short, you can insert a plugin and import the MIDI into the MIDI track... you should be able to anyways

    I recommend that you go through the tutorial on soft-synths in the help file. It should be easier to understand once you've done that.

    If you are playing your internal soundcard that is the reason it sounds cheesey - the sounds are.

    As above, you need to figure out how to use your plug in synths.  These give you control over your sound that the midi plays.
